We’re just getting started

One River Zen became the official owners of the historical Times building just one week before Christmas 2025. With the help of our incredible volunteers, we were able to launch David’s Clubhouse just two months later, bringing the joy of indoor play to a community that has no such spaces.

But David’s Clubhouse is only half the dream of this new building. With over 9,000 square feet, the Times building will become a One River Zen community center: with the Clubhouse on one side, and the Zen Center on the other. Meditation and a playground? YES. That’s exactly the point. This is a place for all to belong.

Beginning June 2026, we will begin the heavy lift to build out the zendo (meditation hall) part of the building. Come be a part of our transformation — you can make a donation or join us for Weekends of Samu (work practice) to help bring the zendo to life.
